Sampdoria ended the week’s training programme with a morning session on Saturday before signing off for a two-day break.

Walter Zenga had his troops run through athletic drills with a focus on sled training followed by tactical games played with small goals.

Angelo Palombo withdrew from the session early because of a muscle problem.

The Blucerchiati will report back to the Mugnaini on Tuesday to begin preparations for Sunday’s visit to Frosinone.
