Levante eSports Cup: Lonewolf presented with mouth-watering first tie

Mattia Lonewolf Guarracino’s opening clash at the first Levante International eSports Cup looks to be an interesting one. Our man will face off against Frederik Fredberg, as Sampdoria eSports takes on Brøndby. The tie comes after Lonewolf was defeated by a solitary goal when he took on Brøndby’s Marcus Jørgensen, also known as Marcuzo, at the most recent FIFA Interactive Club World Cup in London. The Dane went onto be crowned world champion.

The Levante International eSports Cup will kick off in Valencia on Saturday, with eighteen teams including PSG, Ajax, Schalke 04, Manchester City and Sporting set to compete. The matches will be played at the Ciutat de València stadium, using the Playstation console. All the matches will be online friendlies, with overall ratings set at 85 and the tournament adopting a Swiss format.

The final will take place on Sunday 10 December, during the half-time interval of Levante v Athletic Bilbao. The tournament is without precedent in La Liga and it is a dream for many to participate, with the opportunity to play in front of a capacity crowd. We all know, however, that the ultimate satisfaction would be holding the trophy aloft.
