Morning tactics session ahead of Sassuolo clash, final run-out and press conference on Friday

Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Thursday to continue their preparations for Saturday afternoon’s match against Sassuolo.

After some video analysis, Doria warmed up before working through a range of tactical drills.

Jacopo Sala returned to full group training, while nine members of Simone Pavan’s Primavera also joined in with the first team, with the coach himself watching on from the sidelines.

Gaston Ramirez and Riccardo Saponara received treatment and physiotherapy and worked through individual sessions. Edgar Barreto and Gianluca Caprari continued their rehabilitation work.

The squad will train again on Friday morning, with Giampaolo set to hold his regular pre-match press conference at 12:45 CET (live updates on Twitter, round-up to follow on YouTube).
