No rest for the wicked in Temù: first hill runs for Samp
After a warm-up and some work with hurdles, there were the first hill runs of the season and some tactical work to keep the Sampdoria squad grafting hard in the morning session of the second day of their preseason training camp. Given the intensive nature of Walter Zenga’s first session of the day, the afternoon had a strong tactical focus.
Goalkeepers Andrea Tozzo and Emiliano Viviano both missed training this morning. Tozzo sustained a hip injury yesterday and will undergo a scan to evaluate the problem, while Viviano is suffering from a dental abscess.
Nineteen-year-old forward Edoardo Oneto has joined up with the squad. The Lavagna-born youngster was part of the Primavera set-up last year.
Samp will have another double session tomorrow at 10:00 and 17:30 CET.
