Penultimate session ahead of Roma match for Zenga’s Blucerchiati

There were a pair of special guests in Bogliasco this afternoon as Sampdoria had their penultimate training session ahead of Wednesday’s visit of Roma. Alviero Chiorri, Blucerchiati striker in the 1970s and 1980s, and former winger Daniele Franceschini, who made 128 appearances for the club, looked on as Samp warmed up before working on some possession drills. Zenga rounded the session off with a minimatch.

Christian Puggioni was given a day’s leave, while Mattia Cassani and Lorenzo De Silvestri continued their recovery plans. The squad will meet tomorrow morning for a private session ahead of the Roma match.
