Prelec and Yaya Mpie prepare for European Under-17 Championship debuts

The UEFA European Under-17 Championships are set to kick off in England on Friday 3 May, with Blucerchiati players Nik Prelec and Jamie Yayi Mpie – two of the shining stars in David Alessi’s young Doria side – both hoping to play a big part for their respective countries.

Prelec’s Slovenia – who have been drawn in Group B – will make their debut tomorrow against Sweden in Burton-on-Trent (20:00 CEST kick-off), before taking on Portugal in Chesterfield (16:00 CEST kick-off) on Monday 7 May and Norway in Loughborough (14:00 CEST) on Thursday 10 May.

Yayi Mpie’s Belgium side have their first Group C game against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday 5 May at 18:45 CEST. Belgium then take on Bosnia & Herzegovina in Rotherham at 20:00 CEST on Tuesday 8 May before rounding off the group stage with a match against Denmark on Friday 11 May at 14:00 CEST.
