Primavera: Samp slip to defeat against Torino
The Primavera were defeated 2-0 by Torino on Saturday afternoon despite an encouraging first-half half performance in which Simone Pavan’s boys showed poise and control.
Torino gave evidence of their recent excellent form by starting on the front foot, but the young Blucerchiati withheld the pressure and began to play higher up the pitch as the half grew on.
The teams couldn’t be separated at half-time and it took until 20 minutes into the second for the host to take the lead, Vincenzo Millico arrowing a low shot into the far corner. The Italian striker then pounced a second time four minutes later to seal the points.
