Primavera: Stijepovic, Veips and Yayi Mpie called up for international fixtures

Three players from Sampdoria’s Primavera side, coached by Simone Pavan, have been called up to represent the youth sides of their respective countries.

Montenegro. Ognjen Stijepovic is part of the Montenegro Under-20 team that will play two friendlies: firstly against Serbia, on Thursday 15 November at 13:00 CET, and then against Macedonia, on Monday 19 at 13:00.

Latvia. Roberts Veips has been called up to the Under-19 team for the qualification phase for the U19 European Championship, which will take place in Armenia in July next year. Latvia U19s, who are in qualification group 11, will take on Russia (Tuesday 13 November at 13:30 CET) and Montenegro (Friday 16 at 10:00), before facing Cyprus on Monday 19 at 10:00.

Belgium. Jamie Yayi Mpie is in the Belgium Under-18 squad for a ‘four nations’ tournament, set to take place in Pinatar (Spain) from Monday 12 to Tuesday 20 November. The Belgians will kick off against Ireland (Thursday 15 at 14:00 CET), before facing Holland (Saturday 17 at 18:00) and England (Monday 19 at 17:00).
