Samp resume training in two groups, no injury for Zapata

Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria squad were back in training on Tuesday ahead of Sunday’s home clash against Cagliari.

The players involved for all or most of the Lazio game had a recovery session encompassing gym work and physiotherapy, while the rest of the squad trained as normal.

Duvan Zapata underwent tests which revealed no serious injury to his right thigh. The striker will continue to receive physiotherapy before undergoing further tests in the coming days. Nicola Murru continued working on his recovery plan, meanwhile.

The squad will be back at the training ground on Wednesday morning.
