SamPolonia: Bereszynski, Kownacki and Linetty named in Poland World Cup squad

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to SamPolonia! Bartosz Bereszynski, Dawid Kownacki and Karol Linetty have all been named in Poland’s final 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia, so we’ve done the only logical thing – come up with a new word combining Sampdoria and Polonia (the Italian word for Poland)!

It’ll be a first World Cup for all three young Poles, with Adam Nawalka’s team set to kick off in Moscow against Senegal on 19 June. Poland’s second game in Group H is against Colombia in Kazan on 24 June, with the final group game against Japan taking place in Volgograd on 28 June.
