U19s claim derby bragging rights

Sampdoria U19s beat city rivals Genoa 2-0 this afternoon to win their first match of the Primavera league season.

Nik Prelec broke the deadlock midway through the second half when he reacted quickest following a corner. The Slovene striker almost doubled the lead in the 82nd minute, only for his effort to come off the crossbar. Minutes later Mohamed Bahlouli – on as a second-half substitute – did make it 2-0 as he finished off a counter-attack with Ognjen Stijepovic providing the assist.

Victory sees the Blucerchiati move up to five points in the table. If we had to wait for our first win, this was the right match to do it in!
