FIFA eClub World Cup, Day 1: Sampdoria results round-up

The first day of the FIFA eClub World Cup qualification stage has drawn to a close, with some of the best eSports clubs in the world going head to head.

Sampdoria – who are represented by Mattia Lonewolf92 Guarracino on PS4 and Ditmir4897 Alimi on Xbox – were drawn in Group 1 of Tier 1. The bottom three teams at the end of the round will be relegated to Tier 2, with three teams promoted in their stead. The same thing happens between Tiers 2 and 3. The teams that occupy the top three places in Tier 1 come 22 December will advance to the FIFA eClub World Cup finals.

The two Samp players have already played five games and have another three matches to come on Wednesday. We currently sit fifth, level with Brondby, on 13 points. Legia Warsaw (11 points), Nantes (9 points) and NoFuchsGiven (3) points currently sit in the relegation zone.
