Dugout, Incredible Goals: Fernandes’ last-gasp strike against Palermo

Bruno Fernandes now wears the captain’s armband at Sporting Clube de Portugal, and it was his goal last night that gave his team a victory over rivals Benfica in the semi-final of the Taca de Portugal. It was not long ago that the Portuguese midfielder was wearing the Blucerchiati colours, in Marco Giampaolo’s first season with the club, the 2016/17 campaign. He ended that season with five goals in 33 appearances, the best of which was a last-gasp effort in the 1-1 draw with Palermo – a truly Incredible Goal.
