Samp beat Sellero Novelle by eight goals to nil

Sampdoria racked up another eye-watering scoreline this afternoon as they beat Brescia-based semi-professional side Sellero Novelle 8-0 in their second friendly of the season.

Lining up without Viviano (who will link up with his team-mates again shortly), Moisander (back) and De Vitis (knee), Samp took an early lead through Oneto before Eder made it 2-0 from the penalty spot on 17 minutes. An own-goal saw the Blucerchiati extend their lead on the half-hour mark, while goals from Duncan and Palombo took the tally to five before half-time.

Zenga was forced into an early change just before the break as Puggioni picked up an injury and was replaced by Brignoli.

More changes were made at half-time, with Samp’s two-touch playing style bearing more fruit on 71 minutes as Krsticic made it 6-0. Okaka completed the scoring in the 77th and 90th minutes, the second a stunning acrobatic effort. Zenga has granted the players a full day off tomorrow.
