Tactics the focus as Bonazzoli resumes training with the squad

The Blucerchiati were put through their paces in a high-octane session based on tactics this morning, with Walter Zenga drilling his troops on both defensive and attacking movements.

The morning programme included some fitness exercises and set-piece practice either side of the tactical work.

Meanwhile there was good news and bad news from the treatment room. Federico Bonazzoli returned to training with the rest of the squad but Angelo Palombo was forced to miss the session with renal colic.

Niklas Moisander (physio and gym work), Joaquín Correa and Christian Puggioni continued with their personalised recovery plans, while elsewhere Marco Marchionni, Djamel Mesbah, Pedro Pereira and Gianluca Sampietro had a fitness-only workout on the pitch.

The team will set off for Novi Sad tomorrow morning.
