Last session at the Ferraris before Carpi. 23 in the squad for Serie A opener

Walter Zenga took his troops out onto the freshly laid Stadio Ferraris pitch for the second day running this afternoon as Sampdoria wrapped up their preparations for tomorrow’s Serie A opener against Carpi.

Tactical and technical drills formed the bulk of the day’s work before the squad moved onto set-piece practice with tomorrow’s opponents in mind, while president Massimo Ferrero, sporting director Carlo Osti and lawyer Antonio Romei took it all in from pitchside.

At the end of the session, Zenga released his squad list for tomorrow’s 20:45 kick-off.
