Tough Thursday in Bogliasco. Double training for Samp

It was a busy day in Bogliasco, with Sampdoria training twice. Keeping tabs on the sessions, besides Walter Zenga, was Francesco Pedone, promoted to assistant manager following the departure of Luigi Cagni.

In the morning, the group focused on strength, followed by tactical and fitness work. In the afternoon meanwhile, after a session of video analysis on the Napoli game, the players focused on ball work.

The squad was missing the players on international duty and Ervin Zukanovic (recovering post-op), with some of the Primavera youngsters joining the group. Antonio Cassano, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Nenad Krsticic are all on the comeback trail and followed their personalised programmes. Andrea Coda meanwhile bid farewell to his team-mates and set off for Rome, where he will undergo knee surgery. The squad will train again on Friday afternoon.
