Soriano speaks to Premium Sport: “I was and am still happy to be a Sampdoria player”

Roberto Soriano has broken his silence for the first time since that frenetic last day of the transfer window, speaking to Premium Sport about what exactly happened and looking ahead to the future.

The fans are certainly delighted that Soriano ended up staying with the club: “I am too. I was and still am happy to be a Sampdoria player. There were negotiations, but it’s in the past now. I just want to focus on Sunday’s match and on playing well.”

Soriano also spoke more generally about the Blucerchiati’s early season form: “Apart from that first Europa League match, we’ve started well. I’m delighted to see everyone again – this group is our biggest strength. Eder and I got home yesterday and we are desperate to resume the domestic season with three points.”
