Focused on Frosinone: Cassani, Correa and De Silvestri train with the group

Walter Zenga’s Blucerchiati side were greeted with a banner honouring the late, great Paolo Montavani – the legendary Sampdoria president who passed away 22 years ago in 1993 – when they arrived at the upper pitch in Bogliasco today.

After warming up, Zenga took the group through some tactical situations before setting up a number of practice exercises. The squad then focused on fitness, set-piece routines and practice matches.

There was good news on the injury front as Mattia Cassani, Joaquin Correa and Lorenzo De Silvestri all took full part in group training. Angelo Palombo, Alejandro Rodriguez and Matias Silvestre trained in the gym and outside, while Andrea Coda, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Nenad Krsticic continued their recovery plans.

Samp will train again tomorrow afternoon.
