Crowds flock to Bogliasco for Montella’s first session

The Centro Sportivo Mugnaini was packed with fans waiting to catch a glimpse of Vincenzo Montella’s first training session as the new Blucerchiati manager.

Montella started off by gathering the squad together in the meeting room for all the necessary introductions before stepping out onto the main training pitch to a chorus of cheers and applause.

After warming up, the squad got down to some tactical and technical drills, followed by a shooting exercise and a practice match on a reduced pitch to wrap things up.

Djamel Mesbah worked individually, while Edgar Barreto, Angelo Palombo and Alejandro Rodriguez went through a preparatory workout on the pitch with the aim of reintegrating them back into the group.

Joaquín Correa and Nenad Krsticic continued their personalised recovery programmes.
