Montella: “No excuses, I can’t wait to see my Sampdoria”

Vincenzo Montella isn’t looking for an easy way out ahead of tomorrow’s game against AC Milan, declaring his side should be going for victory at the San Siro.

“It’s the first week that we’ve had the entire squad together and it’s always said that you need time in football, but I don’t want to wait,” the Blucerchiati boss declared in his pre-match press conference. “We must forget about any excuses and think purely about how we’re going to beat AC Milan tomorrow.”

Despite coming up against an old friend in Sinisa Mihajlovic, Vincenzo insists he’ll be focused above all on the game: “It will be a pleasure to see Sinisa again. This match is hugely motivating for myself and the squad, you live for these matches. We will need courage and guts.”
