Montella takes 22 Blucerchiati to Milan for Saturday night San Siro clash

It was a busy Friday for Sampdoria as they ran through their final preparations for Saturday’s Serie A showdown with AC Milan at the San Siro.

Vincenzo Montella gathered his troops together at the Hotel Astor in Nervi around lunchtime before transferring them to Bogliasco’s Centro Sportivo Mugnaini for an afternoon session with the big match in mind.

President Massimo Ferrero observed from the sidelines as the team were put through their paces then saw off the team bus as it departed for Lombardy.

Ervin Zukanovic (suspended), Andrea Coda (recovering from ACL surgery), Joaquín Correa (personalised work on the pitch), Nenad Krsticic (only back with the group this week) and Niklas Moisander (thigh problem) are all unavailable for the game.

However, Mattia Cassani and Djamel Mesbah are available for Saturday’s 20:45 CET kick-off at the Meazza.
