Montella hails team spirit after “excellent” victory over Palermo

A win, at last. The three points that had eluded Vincenzo Montella since he returned to take the reins at the club were finally obtained against Palermo and the coach was keen to give credit where it was due.

“I thought we were excellent today,” l’Aeroplanino beamed after the Blucerchiati’s 2-0 success at Marassi on Sunday.

“We showed great team spirit and togetherness. We gave very little away and might have broken the deadlock in the first half too.

“We’ll win a lot of games if we keep playing like this.”
