Diakite exclusively to Samp TV: “I said yes to Samp straight away”

Having arrived from the airport and checked into his hotel, Modibo Diakite was in no doubts as he sat down for an exclusive interview with Samp TV.

“As soon as Sampdoria were mentioned I said yes,” revealed the Blucerchiati’s latest signing. “I’m grateful to the club and Vincenzo Montella who sought me out.

“When I found out they were interested, I didn’t hesitate for a second.

“I used to play for Samp’s youth team and I’m delighted to have returned. This is a top club and the league table doesn’t reflect the quality in the squad.”
