Montella focused on beating Inter: “Go to Milan with no fear”

If ever you need a man with experience of beating Inter at San Siro, it’s Vincenzo Montella.

Back in his first stint at the club, the Aeroplanino was on the pitch on 15 December 1996 when Sampdoria recorded their last away win against the Nerazzurri.

Now at the Blucerchiati helm, Montella wants to repeat the feat: “We have to try to win because we’ve deserved more points that we’ve picked up.

“In terms of our results we’ve got little to show for, but the lads are working hard. We’re playing as good as, if not better, than our opponents.

“Both teams are finding it tough and are a bit behind on our targets. We’ll both try to turn it around.”
