Montella readies his troops: “Do or die in Verona, we’re in for a very important game”
Vincenzo Montella has likened Saturday evening’s game against Hellas Verona to a life-or-death shootout.
The Blucerchiati coach reckons tomorrow’s test at the Stadio Bentegodi could be the opportunity for his players to sound the death knell on a rival in their attempt to stay up, moving Sampdoria one step closer to survival in Serie A at the same time.
“I put the game against Hellas Verona in the same category as Carpi,” declared Montella in his pre-match press conference, “a tough match but incredibly important.
“We cannot allow ourselves to think we’ve solved everything with one victory. We still need points.”
