President at Bogliasco to watch training, final touches and conference on Friday

Sampdoria spent the afternoon at work in Bogliasco today as the match against Empoli draws ever closer.

Vincenzo Montella had pretty much a full set to play with at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini and took his charges through a session characterised by drills on tactics and technique. The only absentee was Carlos Carbonero who is continuing his return to fitness in Barcelona.

President Massimo Ferrero and sporting director Carlo Osti were both pitchside to watch proceedings.

The team will be back out tomorrow morning for the final session – to be held behind closed doors – before the trip to Empoli. Montella’s press conference will take place afterwards at 15:00 CET, which you can follow live on our official English-language Twitter account.
