Training continues ahead of Lazio visit, last session and conference on Saturday

Vincenzo Montella’s Sampdoria squad were at Bogliasco on Friday afternoon to continue their preparations for Sunday afternoon’s home match against Lazio.

The Blucerchiati were split into two groups, with those involved for all or most of the midweek trip to Mapei Stadium joining their team-mates for the first part of training only, before heading off for some recovery work.

Meanwhile, the rest of the players – including Angelo Palombo, Jacopo Sala and youngsters Giedrius Matulevicius, Andrea Bacigalupo and Leonardo Serinelli – worked through a series of technical and tactical drills before getting stuck into some practice games.

Niklas Moisander and Ricky Alvarez did some tailored exercises, while David Ivan and Antonio Cassano continued working on their recovery plans. Carlos Carbonero is still working on his own rehabilitation in Barcelona.

Montella will lead Samp in a behind-closed-doors training session on Saturday morning, before sitting down to hold his pre-match press conference at 15:00 CET. Follow the event live on Samp TV and @sampdoria_en.
