2017 financial results confirm further growth for Sampdoria
The U.C. Sampdoria S.p.A. shareholders’ meeting today approved its financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2017.
Net profit was €9,286,928 with a gross operating profit of €36 million, meaning the club is fully in line with Financial Fair Play parameters.
There was also an increase in investment in infrastructure and playing staff, whose combined value rose from €39,075,944 in the 2013 financial year to €63,410,056 in the 2017. The company’s net worth is €32,951,063.
Following the positive results achieved in 2016, these latest figures demonstrate further growth for the club and help to create the ideal conditions for the team to continue challenging on the field.
After expressing his satisfaction at the financial results and the club’s overall progress, Massimo Ferrero explained that – following the construction of Casa Samp – the club is continuing to plan and build new facilities in Bogliasco with the aiming of creating a ‘sports city’. Once the project has been completed, the first team and academy sides will be able to train using cutting-edge facilities, further strengthening Sampdoria’s position as one of Italy’s leading clubs.
