Samp U19s emerge victorious from goal fest with Roma

Sampdoria Primavera claimed a precious three points against Roma as nine goals were shared in a thrilling contest in Bogliasco.

The Blucerchiati took the lead through D’Amico after just six minutes but D’Orazio restored parity two minutes later.

Estrella fired the Giallorossi in front in the 20th minute then Balde levelled the scores (31) as the first half ended 2-2.

The game continued at breakneck pace after the interval and the visitors once again took the lead from D’Orazio’s free kick.

Cottafava brought on fresh legs and Pompetti made it 3-3 with Samp looking invigorated.

Balde made it 4-3 with 15 minutes left to play and Pompetti gave the Blucerchiati a two-goal cushion as the match went to added time. They needed it too as Sdaigui reduced the arrears to 5-4 before the final whistle.

Victory at the end of a topsy-turvy encounter takes Sampdoria up to seventh in the table with a playoff spot now in sight.
