Small-sided game to round off the week, next session on Tuesday

The ideal way to round off three days of training was by playing two 30-minute halves as part of a small-sided game. The rhythm was fast-paced and there were goals aplenty at the Mugnaini in Bogliasco, with Fabio Quagliarella, Gaston Ramirez (a brace), Gianluca Caprari and Emiliano Rigoni all getting on the scoresheet. Sporting director Carlo Osti oversaw the proceedings which included warm-ups and technical drills, with Primavera players Mohamed Bahlouli, Simone Giordano, Tommaso Maggioni, Marco Pompetti and Aris Sorensen also taking part.

Andrea Seculin and Lorenzo Avogadri worked with goalkeeping coach Fabrizio Lorieri, while Ronaldo Vieira underwent a tailored recovery session and Federico Bonazzoli continued his recovery from injury. Julian Chabot, who came back from international duty with Germany early due to a stomach bug, came in for medical tests, while Nicola Murru was excused from training.

With the players on international duty, Bartosz Bereszynski, Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Jakub Jankto, Jeison Murillo and Morten Thorsby, set to return over the next few days, Claudio Ranieri and his staff have arranged the next training session for Tuesday afternoon.
