U19s climb table with 3-0 win against Torino

Sampdoria U19s bounced back from last week’s defeat to Bologna with a dominant victory over Torino on Monday as goals by Felice D’Amico, Alex Pastor and Nik Prelec secured three big points for Marcello Cottafava’s men.

D’Amico got the ball rolling just six minutes into the encounter with a stunning solo effort, gliding past two defenders on the edge of the box before curling an inch-perfect finish inside the far post.

Pastor made it 2-0 shortly before the break when he headed home from a corner.

The icing on the cake came midway through the second half when Prelec outmuscled his marker and fired low beyond Trombini, thus putting the game to bed.

Today’s win sees the Blucerchiati hoist themselves up to eighth place in the Primavera 1 table on nine points, ahead of next Sunday’s visit to Empoli.
