22-man Samp squad confirmed for Serie A opener against Benevento

Marco Giampaolo and his staff gathered the players together on the training ground once again on Saturday afternoon with just 24 hours to go before their Serie A curtain-raiser against Benevento.

The team started with some fitness drills before switching to tactical work and set-piece practice.

Dodo Pires rested while Emiliano Viviano continued his recovery programme and Patrik Schick pushed on with his pre-season training regime.

The Blucerchiati will put the finishing touches on their Benevento battle plan when they hit the pitch once again on Sunday morning.

Giampaolo has named the following squad for tomorrow’s 20:45 CEST kick-off at the Stadio Ferraris:

Goalkeepers: Puggioni, Tozzo.

Defenders: Bereszynski, Ferrari, Murru, Pavlovic, Regini, Sala, Silvestre.

Midfielders: Alvarez, Barreto, Capezzi, Djuricic, Linetty, Praet, Ramírez, Torreira, Verre.

Forwards: Bonazzoli, Caprari, Kownacki, Quagliarella.
