Caprari scores twice for Italy in friendly with Fiorentina U19s

Gianluca Caprari scored twice in an Italy shirt this morning as the Azzurri’s three-day training camp ended with a comfortable friendly win against Fiorentina Under-19s.

Interim Italy boss Luigi Di Biagio picked Caprari and Gian Marco Ferrari in his starting line-up, with both playing 45 minutes.

The defender was fielded as the left centre-back in a four-man backline while the forward was the spearhead in a three-pronged attack, flanked by Matteo Politano and Federico Chiesa.

Caprari struck in the 20th and 27th minutes, scoring Italy’s fifth and sixth in what ended up as a 10-0 win.
