26-man squad for Cagliari, with Ferrari back in the frame

An afternoon training session took place at the Mugnaini for Sampdoria ahead of the home clash with Cagliari at 19:30 CEST on Wednesday evening. After the video meeting, the whole squad performed tactical drills on pitch one in Bogliasco, with the second half devoted to technical work and finishing for the players who weren’t heavily involved in the win over Udinese, including Gaston Ramirez.

Claudio Ranieri has selected a 26-man squad to take on the Rossoblu. 209 days after his last competitive appearance, Alex Ferrari is back in the squad. Lorenzo Tonelli and Ronaldo Vieira miss out, but continued their work out on the pitch in a bid to recover from their respective injuries.
