Group session ahead of cup derby, morning training on Tuesday

Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back in training on Monday morning ahead of Thursday’s Coppa Italia derby clash against Genoa, the 104th meeting between the two sides and the 13th in the Coppa Italia.

The players involved for all or most of Sunday’s defeat to Bologna had a recovery session preceded by some video analysis, while the rest of the squad headed out to Pitch 1 for a session of technique and tactics with a focus on fitness and reactions.

Keita Balde continued working on his recovery programme.

Samp have another session scheduled on Tuesday morning.
