Correa training with the squad again. Samp in Catania from Thursday evening

After resting on Tuesday, Sampdoria got back down to work on Wednesday with a double session at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini.

The morning was dedicated to group work, the players alternating between the gym and the lower pitch.

In the afternoon the squad moved up to the top pitch for technical and tactical drills.

Joaquín Correa completed part of both sessions with the rest of the team while Nenad Krsticic continued his personalised recovery programme as he works his way back to match fitness.

The Blucerchiati will train behind closed doors on Thursday morning. In the afternoon, at 16:30 CET, Vincenzo Montella is due to hold a press conference, which you can follow live on Samp TV and Twitter.

The squad will then travel to Catania on Thursday evening, where they will continue their preparations for the game against Lazio on Monday evening. There will be no media events during the team’s stay in Sicily.
