Ranocchia straight into the fray, afternoon session on Friday

Andrea Ranocchia was barely through the door before he had his Blucerchiati training kit on and was out working under the watchful gaze of Vincenzo Montella.

The centre back took full part in Thursday’s session on the Mugnaini’s main pitch alongside the rest of his team-mates.

Carlos Carbonero had a scheduled tailored session, while Lorenzo De Silvestri had some routine tests in Villa Roma. Ervin Zukanovic was granted a day’s leave.

Sampdoria will be back at the training ground on Friday afternoon.
