Afternoon training in groups, morning workout and Montella press conference on Saturday

Sampdoria trained on Friday afternoon at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini in Bogliasco ahead of their trip to Roma.

Vincenzo Montella and his staff split the Blucerchiati players in two groups to manage the fitness work based on the players’ involvement in the matches against Bologna and Torino.

All those available for selection worked on the upper pitch, while Carlos Carbonero, Modibo Diakite and Jacopo Sala followed individual workout plans. Lorenzo De Silvestri continues his comeback programme at Rome’s Villa Stuart.

The squad will train again on Saturday morning behind closed doors. Vincenzo Montella will then address the media at 13:00 (press room open from 12:45, live on Twitter and Samp TV), before the squad depart for the capital.
