Double session in sunny Bogliasco, afternoon training scheduled for Thursday

Vincenzo Montella’s Sampdoria squad were greeted by bright sun at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini on Wednesday morning as they continued their preparations for this weekend’s visit of Atalanta with a double training session.

Over the course of the day, the Blucerchiati worked out in the gym and practiced outside on both the main and upper pitches in Bogliasco. In the afternoon session, the group was bolstered by five youngsters from the Samp youth academy, while Angelo Palombo had a recovery session.

On the injury front, Niklas Moisander received physiotherapy treatment while Modibo Diakite, Carlos Carbonero and Jacopo Sala followed their personalised recovery plans. Christian Puggioni was absent with flu, while Lorenzo De Silvestri is still working on his rehabilitation in Rome.

The Blucerchiati will next train on Thursday afternoon, behind closed doors.
