From Senegal to Genoa: Keita Balde is ready for his Samp journey

Life is about putting down roots before taking off again each time. And Keita Balde’s journey is starting again – a week later than planned, because his positive COVID-19 test meant he had to isolate until now.

His latest challenge is Sampdoria, in the seaside city of Genoa, a port open to the world that has strong relations with Africa, and Senegal in particular.

Sounds, colours, smells, tastes, hopes and dreams all mix together in the narrow alleyways and salt air of the Old Port in this video to present Sampdoria’s new forward – a man who hasn’t forgotten his roots and is ready for another adventure.
