Morning training session sees Colley return

Sampdoria trained this morning in Bogliasco with Omar Colley back among their ranks. The defender was able to return early from international duty after Gambia’s friendly with Guinea was cancelled, due to an excessive number of Covid-19 cases in the latter squad.

Claudio Ranieri, who in the coming days will welcome back six other players currently away with their respective national teams – Kristoffer Askildsen, Bartosz Bereszynski, Mikkel Damsgaard, Albin Ekdal, Morten Thorsby and Maya Yoshida –, led a session on pitch 1, which consisted mainly of 7-on-7 training games. Manolo Gabbiadini sat the session out to train separately.

The Blucerchiati will have another morning training session tomorrow, when the team will continue their preparations for the match with Lazio.
