Muriel positive on showing against Barca: “We competed with the best team in the world”

Luis Muriel’s goal at the Camp Nou is one he will never forget. The Colombian started and finished the move, producing a first-half goal which kept Sampdoria in the game against Barcelona, for the Gamper Trophy.

“We tried to play our game against the best team in the world,” Muriel said when he spoke exclusively to Samp TV.

“Losing narrowly, while staying in the match against Barca, is positive for us. It will give us encouragement for the games which count, starting on Sunday in the Coppa Italia.”
