Fernandes tells Samp TV: “I’m ready to step up”

New Sampdoria man Bruno Fernandes is blessed with great technical ability, superb vision and lists Rui Costa as his idol. The Portuguese playmaker spoke to Samp TV about what he expects from this new challenge: “Sampdoria tried to sign me in the January transfer window,” he revealed. “I’m pleased to have joined before the start of the season so I can show my coach and team-mates what I’m about. I know a certain Roberto Mancini once wore the number 10 shirt here. It comes with a heavy burden but I like that responsibility and I’m ready to step up.”
