Krajnc: “I want to follow in the footsteps of Katanec and Vidic”

It took Luka Krajnc all of about five seconds to say yes to a move to Sampdoria.

As Krajnc explains in this exclusive interview with Samp TV, his agent called him to inform him of the Blucerchiati’s interest just as he was about to board a plane to fly to Ireland with the Slovenian U21 side.

“Everything happened at the last minute, but as soon as I heard of Samp’s interest I said yes right away,” the brand-new Doria centre-back explains. “I know that Srecko Katanec enjoyed lots of success here and it was him who gave me my senior Slovenia debut last year. He never gave an inch as a player, just like my idol Nemanja Vidic.”
