Giampaolo believes in his squad: “It will be tough against Inter but we can compete”
A busy week is all but over yet there’s one big hurdle still to be negotiated. “Our three-game week is not finished yet,” said Marco Giampaolo in a press conference ahead of Sunday’s visit of Inter.
“We still have a tough match to play and it’s not the first one either. The Pescara game was almost greeted like a defeat but it was tricky. On the other hand, tough matches on paper can occasionally produce good results. We’ll play our game and we’re fit and firing again,” continued the coach.
Giampaolo also touched upon his side’s previous games: “Juventus are a team of superstars although the scoreline was a bit harsh. We put in an excellent performance in the derby and tomorrow we’ll try to do even better.
“We face a side that have produced some outstanding performances and some less convincing displays,” said the Samp coach on his team’s opponents, Inter. “They have some great individual talent and were more organised without the ball in their most recent fixture at San Siro. Playing as a team is the best remedy when the going gets tough, so we have to operate as a unit.”
