Samp work on finishing and training games in front of Ventura

The Blucerchiati stepped up their preparations for Sunday’s trip to ChievoVerona with a session at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugniani. As expected, Italy head coach Giampiero Ventura and the Azzurri’s team manager Gabriele Oriali attended the workout in Bogliasco, as they continue their tour of Serie A’s training grounds. They met sporting director Carlo Osti, coach Marco Giampaolo and the players.

The former Doria coach watched the session, which consisted of fitness work, finishing and training games. Ante Budimir and Fabio Quagliarella trained separately on the pitch, as did Emiliano Viviano, busy with exercises on technique, specific strength work and treatment.

Lucas Torreira had a light session, while Carlos Carbonero pressed ahead with his recovery programme. The team will train next on Friday morning, behind closed doors.
