Samp to enjoy New Year’s Day off, double session set for 2 January

Saturday morning’s friendly against Finale Ligure was the last act in Sampdoria’s 2016, with the Blucerchiati securing a 7-1 win over the Serie D outfit.

The non-European players are still on holiday and thus were not involved this morning, nor were Mirko Eramo and Milan Skriniar (flu), Jacopo Sala (treatment and exercises in the pool) and Emiliano Viviano (recovery plan).

Marco Giampaolo has given his squad New Year’s Day off, after which Doria will report back to the training ground on the morning of 2 January for the first helping of a double training session.
