Double session ahead of Empoli clash, afternoon training on Thursday

Marco Giampaolo’s Blucerchiati squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Wednesday for a double helping of training.

With Sunday’s visit of Empoli looming large, Doria kicked off the day with a series of exercises in the gym, followed by tactical drills out on the pitches.

In the afternoon, Giampaolo and his team took the squad – bolstered by Primavera goalkeeper Giacomo Piccardo, defenders Bambo Diaby, Giacomo Ferrazzo and Maxime Leverbe, midfielder Denis Baumgartner and forwards Ibourahima Balde and Joao Claudio Gomes Ricciulli – to the upper pitch for a range of technical and tactical exercises.

Emiliano Viviano had a personalised training session, while Jacopo Sala continued working on his rehabilitation.

The squad will have another training session on Thursday afternoon.
