A stellar evening for Muriel: “Unbelievable night, the future is now”

With a goal in both fixtures this season, Luis Muriel is making a great habit of finding the next against our crosstown foes, helping Samp to their first derby double since the early 1960s.

The Colombian’s Twitter account was overwhelmed with compliments and fans congratulating him after his goal.

“I received loads of messages,” our No.9 continued, “but I want to thank the president Massimo Ferrero, who believed in me even when my career seemed to have taken a turn for the worse.

“I’ve made a few mistakes in the past, but I’m over that now and I’m doing really well here. My future? I just want to enjoy this moment, but I’ll be happy to sign another Blucerchiati contract.”
